Traveling with sleep apnea can be a challenge, but with the right travel CPAP machine and gear, you can ensure a restful night’s sleep no matter where you go. Whether you’re flying cross-country, staying in hotels, camping, backpacking or river rafting, this ultimate CPAP travel setup will make your journey smoother and more comfortable. Below is a list of my gear and products that I think are must-have CPAP travel essentials with links to where to purchase to save you time in researching for the best products.

1. Travel CPAP Machine

I went with the Breas Z2 since based on my research it was one of the lightest, smallest and most reliable CPAP machines on the market. Weighing in at only 10.4 ounces, the Z2 is one of the most lightweight travel CPAP machines available, making it great for carry-on luggage, backpacks and small travel pouches.

The Z2 operates quietly and clocks in at just 26 dBA when operating according to the manufacturers specifications. It also includes a Q-lite Muffler which helps dampen the sound of the airflow even further.

2. Portable Battery Bank

For powering the Z2, I went with the Anker Prime Power Bank which is a highly rated, reliable, portable power while traveling. It has a high-capacity battery with 27,650mAh which I’ve found will last 2 full nights of CPAP usage on a single charge. Whether you’re camping off-grid, taking a long-haul flight, or dealing with an overnight power outage, the Anker Prime ensures uninterrupted CPAP therapy so you can sleep comfortably no matter where you are.

3. Power Cable

Based on the power adapter that came with the Breas Z2, I was able to identify that the output was 15V 2A. I was able to identify a power cable that would run from the power bank to the Z2. The DSD TECH MagicConn USB Type C is a adapter ideal for travel CPAP users needing a reliable power source. The power bank and the power cable both support Power Delivery (PD) which is a specialized chipset that is able to detect the power needs of each device and will adjust the power needs accordingly.

4. Power Supply & Charger

The AOHI Magcube 140W USB-C Charger is a powerful, fast, and compact charger I use for my power bank, phone, and other high-performance devices. Featuring GaN+ technology, it delivers efficient, high-speed charging in a small form factor, perfect for travel. With 140W output, it recharges my 27,650mAh Anker Power Bank from empty to full in about 45 minutes—blazing fast! Supporting Power Delivery (PD), it adjusts output for safe, optimized charging. Its universal compatibility and multi-port design eliminate the need for multiple chargers, keeping my setup streamlined and efficient. A 45-minute charge provides two full nights of power for the Breas Z2.

5. Travel Case

The CURMIO Travel Carrying Bag offers protection, organization, and convenience for CPAP users. Designed to fit CPAP machines and accessories, it features padded compartments and water-resistant material for durability. Multiple pockets keep essentials organized, while the adjustable strap ensures easy transport. Compact yet spacious, it keeps CPAP equipment secure and travel-ready anywhere.

6. Solar Charger

The FlexSolar 40W Foldable Solar Panel Charger is a compact, efficient solar charging solution when camping, backpacking, and any off-grid travel. This is used to recharge the Anker Power Bank and can support up to 40w output in direct sun. Its high-efficiency solar cells provide a steady charge, while the lightweight, foldable, and weather-resistant design makes it easy to carry and durable for outdoor use. With multiple USB ports, it’s a must-have for those looking to bring your CPAP on your next outdoor trip.

7. Humidification

When is comes to humidification, you’ll probably want to pickup a 10 Pack of HME Heat Moisture Exchange Filters. The Breas 2 doesn’t require a water reservoir or distilled water since it uses waterless humidification. The Z2 leverages a Heat / Moisture Exchanger (HME) which is a is a small, waterless humidification device designed for travel CPAP machines. It helps retain moisture and warmth in the air you breathe without requiring a traditional water-based humidifier.
